France being the world leader in perfume, opened a new perfume museum “Le Grand Musée du Parfum” in mid December in the center of Paris. Set inside a 19th-century mansion, it is a unique museum taking you into a “multi-sensory” journey through the history and science of scent and perfume-making.
You will go through high-tech sensory exhibits unlocking 60 different scents, designed to help you better understand the history of perfume as well as your own sense of smell.
In the spring, the garden will be also be planted with aromatic plants and flowers specially cultivated for their scent including the jasmine flower with about 900 molecular components. A restaurant will also open later during the year.
