Designers will be presenting their spring 2017 collection all over the city. This season is rich with debuts. Things to look our for: Anthony Vacarello, the new creative director for Saint Laurent; Maria Grazia Chiuri, the new artistic director of Dior; solo debut of Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino; Bouchra Jarrar at Lanvin. High expectations on those shows!

CONTEMPORARY ART NIGHT

Every year in October, Paris offers a contemporary art event from dusk till dawn. The 2016 programme is around the theme of the Dream of Poliphilo. There will be 40 art projects and installations in the “On” programme, covering 3km from City Hall in the 4th arrondissement to l’île Saint-Germain, and onto Issy-les-Moulineaux. The walk takes about 3 hours and you will find along the way a work of art every three or or four city blocks. There are a further 110 projects in the ‘Off’ programme.

The 43rd FIAC will feature some 160 galleries specialising in modern and contemporary art presenting a balanced panorama of the artistic creation from the modern masters to the most emerging trends in the Grand Palais.  The "Hors les murs" programme (outdoor sculptures and installations, artists’ performances, and films) is presented around Paris.

Art Élysées gathers almost 75 galleries inside its 3 ephemeral pavilions, exhibiting a broad array of modern art, contemporary art and twentieth century design furniture.
